My village is located on the border of some of the most unique Mayan Archeological sites in the world. For over 30 years, archeologists have made friends with and hired men from the village to help uncover temples hidden in the jungles. This is a shot from a recent dig happening at the Ka'Kabish site where they uncovered an architectural structure totally unique to this part of the world. The tour was lead by local guides from the village who brought a group of biology students studying bats in the same area.
