Swaziland

Swaziland

Swaziland currently has the highest HIV rate in the world. One out of every four people is infected with the virus. But everyone in this small but beautiful country is affected. The children of Swaziland suffer the most, many losing their parents to the epidemic. But the children are also the future, empowered with knowledge and hope the HIV epidemic can be conquered. This picture was taken in front of a local store in the mountainous, Hhohho region of Swaziland. According to statistics, more than likely one or two of the kids in the photo has HIV.
