I took this photo at an orphanage where I worked in Rwanda, sometime in early 2012. The children were bored one afternoon so we decided to make pretend music videos. We spent the afternoon singing local pop songs at the top of our lungs, the farmers watching in amazement as we danced around the soccer field while one child used an empty plastic bottle to "film" us. Imagination is a powerful tool in childhood and I was constantly amazed by the children's ability to not only enjoy childhood but thrive in a low resource environment. This is a picture of Arsene, who was watching the children preform one of his favorite songs- Turi Kumwe- which translates to "we are together" in Kinyarwanda.
