On March 10, 2016 fomer Directors of Peace Corps gathered at the agency's headquarters for a day of discussion with current Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet and senior staff. Talk amongst the former Directors lasted the morning and afternoon and was then followed by a town-hall meeting with Peace Corps staff and guests. Each Director spoke about their time as the agency head and took questions from the crowd.

Former Directors in attendance were Secretary Elaine Chao (1991-1992), Mark D. Gearan (1995-1999), Ambassador Gaddi H. Vasquez (2002-2006), Ronald A. Tschetter (2006-2009), and Aaron S. Williams (2009-2012).
