On May 28, 2015 Tina Tchen, the Assistant to President Barack Obama; Chief of Staff to First Lady Michelle Obama; and Executive Director of the White House Council on Women and Girls, spoke at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, DC. This talk was part of the Loret Miller Ruppe speaker series and was moderated by Peace Corps Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet.

The talk was organized by the Peace Corps Employee Resource Group "Lotus Corps" in recognition of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders month.
