Peace Corps participated in the 2016 Capital Pride Parade in downtown Washington, DC. The theme for this year's Pride was "Make Magic Happen." The Peace Corps float was based on the popular cartoon The Magic School Bus, and flags representing countries that Peace Corps Volunteers previously and currently serve in were carried behind the float. Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet, Chief of Staff Laura Chambers and Deputy Chief of Staff Becca Sharp all participated.
