On August 26, 2016 Peace Corps Director Director Hessler-Radelet toured the National Mall and Memorial Parks with 11 returned Peace Corps Volunteers who now work with the National Park Service. A portion of the tour was led by National Mall Park Rangers Carlos De La Torre (Peru, 2013-15), Heath Mitchell (Mongolia, 2012-15) and Christopher Dewell (China, 1993-95). This tour was organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park System.
