This photo was taken on July 22, 2014, in Armenia, the day before Gor moved away. Gor was one of my 5th grade students this past year, and his sister, Lilit, was one of my 12th graders. Gor is a special needs student who struggles to walk, but is very bright and is an excellent reader. But Gor and Lilit's parents live in Russia, and, sadly, Gor returned to Russia after having spent only a year here in his home town while his sister completed high school. Gor was my favorite student, and there was a very strong, mutual love between us. I will miss him dearly.
