PCV Raber Wharton, 47, of St. Louis, MO, is a specialist in early childhood education. She is assigned to the Nutrition Center at a Bridgetown Hospital and is very much involved in day care activities. She visits all day care centers and children's homes (18 in all); she is conducting a malnutrition study, training child care specialists, writing a pre-school curriculum and a TV documentary on day care. Raber is also the former director of JCCA Nursery and St. Martin's Child Center in St. Louis. Her 4 grown children think very highly of her decision to join PC.
