Botswana

I took this photo at Mochudi Teen Club located at Stepping Stones International in Mochudi, Botswana in 2011. Teen Club is a support group for HIV positive adolescents, sponsored by Baylor Childen's Clinical Centre of Excellence in Botswana. The topic of the day was expressing your feelings about living with HIV. Teen Leaders had painted pictures of the HIV virus on cardboard boxes. The participants were invited to throw wet sponges, representing ARVs, at the virus and yell anything they wanted to say to "HIV". The kids were shy at first, but got in to the spirit of killing HIV. I hope you can sense the glee in Karabo's demeanor.
