PCV Bob James works with the Ministry of Education in El Salvador to promote interest in the cultivation of family gardens thru the school system. He works primarily with school age children in the town of Osicala where he demonstrates vegetable gardening techniques on the school grounds. He then asks the students to bring their families to see the progress of the garden, its successes, failures and problems and generally inspires the families to begin their own vegetable plots at home.
