Roberto was my host dad, and the hardest-working person I have ever known. He left for the United States about 20 years ago looking for a way to escape poverty, and vowed to come back and start a business in El Salvador. He spent five years in the US, then came back. He started a chicken farm, a small coffee plantation, and built a restaurant from the ground up. Every single time I see him he is starting something new. When we talk, sometimes for hours, I always come away feeling inspired and awed by this amazing man #PortraitsofPeace
