This photo was taken on host family appreciation day at the end of my PST in Ethiopia. This is my host mom Zehara Mitiku (right), me Katrina Johnston (middle) and my 16 year old host sister Jemila Mitiku. They are my mothers, my sisters, and my best friends. I had a truly incredible 3 months with my muslim host family. They never once asked me about my own religion but loved to dress me up in their muslim clothing. In the photo I am holding a photo of our whole family that was given to them as a gift by Peace Corps.
