My Peace Corps friend, Adam Szabunio, took this photo during my Sewing Workshop; in his Fijian village, Korokula Village,October 2011.Almost everything in Fiji is done on the floor...so(my 60 year old hips) really appreciated the tables that the villagers set up! Here I am teaching them how to make patterns out of ready-made clothing. After my workshop, the women's group made all of the school uniforms for the village! Before this they bought them from a neighboring seamstress. And thus, a very empowering business was created!
