Our defining moment came when our host family invited me and my husband on their family picnic. During this event we came to realize that we were more than just guests, but we had become friends. The extended family of about 30 gathered on April 9, 2010 to enjoy the rare treat of a picnic in the beautiful forested area about 20 miles from their arid homes.
