I took this photo during the construction of a water project in a Kyrgyz Republic school. In this picture, two local laborers are donating their time to create water infrastructure in the school. The project resulted in five sinks with hot running water. Two sinks will function even when after the constant power outages. The project was initiated after the community expressed health concerns after multiple hepatitis A outbreaks. Even though the construction time was supposed to be one month, the workers were so motivated and proud of what they were doing, they worked everyday for two weeks straight. They would work up to 10 hours and even come in on Sundays. When asked why they were working overtime, they commented, "We are enjoying this work and it's for a good reason."
