The youth of Bobeica, Moldova felt pride at seeing their project move from an idea to fruition. They worked hard to understand how a need must justify an intervention, to formally present their project plans to a committee, and to do grassroots fundraising. Finally, they worked hard with hoes and shovels and paint brushes. This pride and determination bodes well for the project's follow-through plans to monitor park use and ensure ongoing upkeep. The real sustainability of this project however, is found in the students' attainment of skills and understanding for successful project design.
