This picture was taking in September 2012 in Mozambique. I, Theresa Cole, am an Education Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique who is starting a Children's Community Library in my community. The building in the photo was donated to me by my community. This picture was taken on the first day we started painting and restoring the building! The people in the photo are my students. I teach English at a Teacher Training College. They helped sand, paint and restore the building in a matter of 2 weekends. Today the building stands fully painted with a new door and two new windows. The books have just arrived and the library will be open to the public by March, 2013. The library will be open for children of all ages to come and explore the joys of reading. The books are also available for Primary School Teachers to use in their classroom!
