When I brought the crayons and coloring books out into my backyard gazebo the plan was for Tonito to color, which he did for awhile. But when my six-year-old neighbor got bored with using the crayons for their original purpose for the twentieth time he found different ways to stay entertained. It reminded me to be creative, knowing that things can be used for means other than their original purpose. It showed me to look at things differently, to remember that when something becomes too familiar, find a different way to see it. Mozambique.
