As I was walking into a school to work one day, I see at least 8 of the 10th grade students I work with strumming brand new guitars. I had never seen anything like that. It was a music class - the first ever. The guitars had been donated by an organization that works alongside the Nicaraguan government. Not only is it fitting in that music is a large part of the culture, but there is not much to do in Rancho. It was an indescribable joy to see these kids with the opportunity to participate in something besides sex, drugs, or alcohol that could also ignite a passion within them.
