The 2021 domestic deployment of Peace Corps Response Volunteers within the United States of America marked only the second time in the agency’s 60 years that Volunteers served inside the U.S. The 158 Peace Corps Response Volunteers ranged in age from 22 to 80 and had skills in 88 languages. The Volunteers represented 35 U.S. states. Responding to this historic moment demonstrated the value of the Volunteer spirit here at home in a time when the pandemic closed borders worldwide.
