I took this photo during the final day of constructing our greenhouse, made mostly from water bottles, at our school. Virtually the entire school helped in some way, be it collecting water bottles, preparing the bottles to be used as a material, or actual construction of the greenhouse. Next school year, there will be a series of training sessions for students to use the space to grow vegetables and flowers. This project served as an excellent demonstration of up-cycling and will have further educational possibilities (e.g. composting, small scale farming techniques, easiest plants to grow) as we begin growing in the greenhouse.
