Global Youth Service Day held at the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC on April 12, 2014. Acting Director of Peace Corps Carrie Hessler-Radelet spoke at the event. Other speakers included Secretary of Interior Sally Jewell, Kelita Bak, Tony Salazar-Majia, Steve Culbertson, Simone Bernstein, Americorps Director Bill Basl, and Special Olympics representatives Jordan Schubert and Beth Strange. Julia Sewell and Radio Disney's Dj Emily served as emcees for the event.
