Panama
Taken waiting for participants to arrive for a library committee meeting at the newly established community library in Panama. All three women are mothers of local school children and, while waiting for the meeting to start, decided to flip through some of the new books. In this area school is only compulsory and due to financial and transportation challenges many of the children won't graduate high school. Having access to a library gives them a chance to continue their education, albeit informally. It also gives the community adults, like these three women, the chance to read in a place where libraries are virtually non-existent.
