This photo was taken at one of the HIV and AIDS Prevention Education Workshops in Asuncion, Paraguay. These workshops were collaborative efforts from HIV and AIDS education professionals from the Ministry of Health and Peace Corps Volunteers. Nurses, teachers and youth leaders were invited to these events. This exercise was lead by a host country national and asked the participants to walk quietly with their heads down as a the presenter listed different scenarios, assumptions and stereotypes of those who are living with HIV. Afterwards a reflection session was held to determine what is was like to walk in one's shoes who lives with HIV. Also discussed was how to change these ideas and create more support for those in the HIV+ community.
