I took this photo in October 2011 in the rural village of Velingara in Kedougou, Senegal. This was part of an HIV/AIDS Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) study in an entire health district, surveying a total of 810 people. The photo shows a community health worker interviewing a member of the community in his home in a randomized sampling in order to determine base information and thereby create an HIV/AIDS education plan for the district.
