I took this picture of a sand storm hitting the my village on August 11, 2011. Sand storms would frequently hit us in Northern Senegal. I lived in the same compound as the village chief, hence the country's flag flying high. The children in the photo are my host nephews, dancing and celebrating the excitement children feel when the sand storms hit - as the adults run for cover.
