One of the projects that I helped with was painting and refurbishing beds for the Sierra Leone Children's Orphanage. Several Peace Corps Volunteers helped in this project along with children from the orphanage. I think the children got more paint on themselves then on the beds. I lived next door to the orphanage with my PC Volunteer roommate Raja, and we had children playing around us all the time. In this photo taken in 1991 just outside the orphanage in Sierra Leone, PCV Doug is removing the broken bed springs with a little help from the orphan children.
