Peace Corps volunteer, Lawrence Piper (left), assists in the administration and supervision of a malaria eradication program sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. From Flint, Michigan, the 30-year-old volunteer graduated in 1967 with a B.A. in Economics from Albion College. Piper and co-worker are on the island of Malaita and are checking the malaria records of homes in the village. Each house has a card tacked to the outside which indicates the dates the house has been sprayed to prevent infestation of the malaria mosquito.
