The SPA 30th Anniversary Event held at The George Washington University's Jack Morton Auditorium in Washington, DC. The event was hosted by Peace Corps Acting Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet and USAID administrator Rajiv Shah.

Special guests included His Excellency Bockari Stevens, Ambassador of Sierre Leone to the United States; The Honorable David E. Price, US Representative from North Carolina; Dr. Steven R. Lerman, Provost, The George Washington University; Dr. Timothy P. Shriver, Chariman of the Board of the Special Olympics International and Ms. Marg Mayne, Chief Executive, VSO International
