This photo was taken during the summer of 2009 in Turkmenistan with a few members of my Youth Group club. Although I was in Turkmenistan to teach English, it quickly became apparent that many of my students had limited opportunity to pursue art projects or theatrical activities. I used the opportunity to focus on developing their creative sides: in addition to making flowers for the window, we made paper masks and with the older students re-wrote the Three Little Pigs into Turkmen so that everyone could play all the roles.
