PCV Gerald Rigler plays baseball with his students at Kitunga School near Raashamaire, in the Kingdom of Ankole, Uganda. He is a graduate of Drake University at Des Moines where he majored in biology. Rigler received his bachelor of science degree in 1962 and his master's in 1965 just prior to Peace Corps service. At Kitunga School, Rigler teaches physical sciences, biology and mathematics and also coaches sports. He is certified teacher in Iowa and taught coaches sports.
