My counterpart took this photo on July 5, 2013, at a local restaurant in Albania. In this photo, I (on the left) am explaining the newly established business association, which was funded by SPA early this year, to a local restaurant manager (on the right). On the table in front of us sits a binder full of translated business development resources and screenshots of the association's website. Perhaps the greatest impact resulting from the SPA project thus far has been the change in mindset within the community. In a culture that is largely individualistic, this SPA project fills a void by encouraging public-private and business-to-business collaboration. This photo is a clear illustration of the ongoing SPA project because it captures the engagement efforts to support local business development.
