In the north of Benin, mangos ripen during the hot season where temperatures can reach up to 115 degrees. The sweet fruit is one of the few things that make the hot season bearable, but it takes a bit of work to get them from the tree. Here, two brothers work together to knock the mangos from their tree to land safely on the mattress. They will surely share the literal fruits of their labor with their family of eleven, under the shade of a neighboring tree.
