In May 2016, Peace Corps Response Volunteers in Liberia organized a GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) Camp for 35 female students ages 16-25. The themes of the GLOW Camp were self-esteem, leadership, volunteerism, health (including menstrual hygiene, sexual and reproductive health, and malaria), and aspirations and goal-setting. Activities of the GLOW Camp included writing and publishing heroine stories featuring themselves as the heroine, nightly journal sessions, a kickball tournament, and activities inspired by STOMP Out Malaria.
