This photo was taken the second weekend in October, 2012 at the Laraos Community alpaca farm in the Peruvian Andes. As part of project financed by SPA, the Laraos graduating class (eight students), their science teacher, a town council member, the farm administrator and two Peace Corps volunteers spent the weekend planting native quinual trees to fence the land and protect the watershed below. The photo features the town council member, a student and a Peace Corps volunteer installing the fences that would protect the young saplings from grazing alpaca.
