I took this photo on May 31st, 2012 in Vanuatu. The photo shows Ni-Vanuatu Village Health Workers learning a string activity which can be used in various ways to illustrate how HIV can be transmitted and the ABC’s of HIV prevention (Abstinence, Be Faithful, Consistent Condom Use). The purpose is that these Village Health Workers, who live and work in very remote areas, can take this activity back to their home communities and use it in HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.
