Vanuatu

I took this photo of my water tank project on June 13, 2013 at the Republic of Vanuatu. The tank in this photo arrived at 3am via cargo ship. It was then pushed overboard and expected to float to shore. The raging Pacific Ocean swept it off track and several men and woman had to jump into the pitch black ocean and guide it to shore. The island does not have any roads or trucks to assist with the heavy lifting, so as the sun began to rise, the 6,000 liter tank was lifted by hand and carried into the village by locals.
