PCV Martin Nelson of Peacedale, RI is in his 3rd PC assignment. Before coming to Antigua in August, 1975, he and his wife, Jay, a nurse served for a year in Malaysia and a year in Honduras. Nelson, who has a BS in engineering from University of Southern California and a MBA from Boston College, works as a physical planning advisor. A great deal of his work deals with regulations and legal aspects such as land use, building permits and codes, fire safety regulations and zoning laws. He is assigned to the UN Development Program office under the Ministry of Planning and Development. Neslon is also a retired Navy commander (Seabees) and was a business manager at the University of Rhode Island. Shown here with some of his co-workers going over proposals.
