This photo was taken on January 24, 2013. This is the road that leads to my village, and it was the original road that I had taken into my village the August past. The photo shows a narrow clay road following the rolling plateaus. This was a life-defining moment for me because it was the first time I had seen the landscape of where I would be living for the next two years (and I was incredibly happy with what I saw!).
