In this photo, Volunteer Katherine Grace (Gracie) Magruder presents the results of an Edzi Toto-inspired AIDS Quiz with a local high school English class from the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde. Edzi Toto is a youth group from Malawi who are dedicated to the education and prevention of HIV/AIDS. Each youth earns their membership and badges after they are able to explain what HIV/AIDS means to them. Peace Corps features a Edzi Toto quiz on its website which helps educate visitors on rates, statistics and myths about HIV/AIDS. PCV Magruder adapted this quiz to reflect surprising HIV/AIDS statistics about Cape Verde and her students were able to give their best guess in return for their own Edzi Toto badges (the World AIDS Day red ribbon).
