I (China 19, Jasmine Liu) teach at a vocational & technical college. Students here have 2 years of formal academic studies and 8 months of externship before graduating. Since our student's don't get a real graduation, for my final semester in Peace Corps, I threw all of the leaving students an American style graduation ceremony, complete with certificates of excellence, pomp and circumstance, and a graduation speech.
