This photo was taken on at Guiyang University (贵大) in Guizhou province, China. The students were part of a secondary project at my Peace Corps site of service Zunyi Normal College (遵义师范学院) also in Guizhou. In collaboration with the college, we started an a cappella singing group to improve English-language pronunciation--and just to have fun and build teamwork skills. We were invited to sing at the closing ceremony for the Guiyang University annual theater competition. It was truly one of the best experiences in my two years in China, and for many of the students it was an experience of a life time (or so they told me!). They sang well and wowed the crowd, even if we didn't come anywhere near Pentatonix level singing.
