This photo was taken at the closing banquet for the Indigenous People's Conference in Dominica in 2002. This Conference brought together IP from North and South America, and was hosted in Dominica by the Carib Indians. I was stationed in the Carib Territory from 2000-2002 and was able to participate in the Conference. Jane Goodall was in attendance as part of her Roots and Shoots Program. Also pictured is an individual called Uncle, who is attended on behalf of his tribe in Canada.
