I Choose My Life This photo was taken on December 1, 2011, at the World AIDS Day event in my community's church, Carlos Pinto, Dominican Republic. I am kneeling at the center surrounded by some of the youth members of our HIV/AIDS awareness group Escojo Mi Vida (I Choose My Life) shortly before they presented interactive presentations and dramas on HIV/AIDS prevention and discrimination. They also distributed red ribbons to all attendees and invited a local doctor to discuss the importance of testing.
