I was assigned to shadow a group of Afghanistan veterans, during their memorial celebrations. These celebrations began at my site. It is customary to be invited for a toast, of home made wine, to celebrate the life of the veterans and their fallen comrades. We stopped on our way at one of the veterans parents home. We were greeted by his elderly mother and father and were given the customary jug of wine. After pleasantries we all got back in the car, only to find it would not start. This photo is of the veterans showing me how Moldovans fix a car, good bread, good home made wine, simple tools, some good ole know how and never get excited.
