I took this photo during a health and education trip to the taiga of Northern Mongolia. We were the inaugural group of volunteers to initiate this project working with the reindeer herders, or Tsataan People. These children were helping their parents bring in their reindeers from their day of grazing. In the morning, they take the reindeers out to eat the moss on the mountains and in various flat areas of the taiga. These boys rode some of the larger stags to move the others in their herd. Picture was taken in June 2013.
