Mongolia

Near the end of my service in Mongolia (6/2006-7/2008), I was spending time with some fellow volunteers and a counterpart at a small children's shelter in the city. The shelter is called Anna Home, and operates with funding from a variety of sources, most notably from a Dutch charity. I always enjoyed going to Anna Home and teaching either English, cooking pizza, playing games, and dancing around with the kids and staff. This picture, to me, sums up my entire Peace Corps experience. Whenever I have a terrible day, or am feeling nostalgic, just looking at this photograph brings me right back.
