I took this photo during a health and education trip to the taiga of Northern Mongolia. We were the inaugural group of volunteers to initiate this project working with the reindeer herders, or Tsataan People. These children were reviewing basic English phrases to communicate with visitors who come to their Spring camps during tourist season. Visitors are few and far between, but some adventurous spirits do endeavor to visit them. The school was set up by volunteers in a teepee that we built with locals to service the community.
