"You were my friend before I got AIDS" This music school, located in Mozambique, performs in various community events, like the wedding pictured here. At the school, they learn to play instruments, to sing, and to dance traditional dances. Many of the songs that they sing and perform relate to topics relevant to the students lives, such as health, education, the environment, and children's rights. One of the songs they performed at this wedding in May 2012 talks about stigmatization. It has lyrics that say "It was not my wish, I didn’t like to have AIDS. You were my friend before I got AIDS. You stigmatized me. Today is me. Tomorrow it’s you. You were my friend, but when I got AIDS our friendship was changed. Why? It doesn’t need to be this way. We together can be healthy."
